Within the whirlwind of confusion of my diagnosis of a massive Meningioma, I was steadily calmed by a very assured Mr Martin in whose care I was very luckily placed. Not only did he show complete confidence and professionalism in conducting the procedure, he was also consistent in his understanding of my health throughout. He ensured that I was properly monitored and gave me clear instructions on how to recover from, what turned out to be a very successful life-saving operation. I was indeed in excellent hands! But the greatest credit to Mr Martin must be given to his after-care support. Recovery from brain surgery is a bewildering experience. It would have been easy for me to dip into anxiety and even depression. But Mr Martin's reassurance, advice and constant accessibility (through email) has been invaluable, and helped me get back on my feet very quickly. I can't thank Mr Martin and his team enough for their care, and for saving my life.

From the moment I received the call from Mr Martin explaining I had a large Colloid Cyst and the need for immediate brain surgery I was extremely scared but after speaking to him I new I was in the best possible hands. Throughout my time is hospital Mr Martin and his team provided me with excellent care. The Operation was a huge success and it is all thanks to such amazing talent at St Georges Hospital. Mr Martin is truly amazing at what he does and I feel no matter what I write on here it would not be enough. Even after surgery he has stayed in touch to see how I am getting on and always replies to my emails even though he is always so busy. I may not have been here if it wasn’t for Mr Martin and his team and for that I will always be forever grateful. Thank you.

Mr Martin introduced himself to me by saying "I know all about your tumour, lets find out about you". From that moment I felt in safe hands. Mr Martin and his team provided excellent care before my operation, throughout my stay at St George's and since. I never once felt anxious about anything. My recovery was also very good and my eyesight is back to normal. I can't thank Mr Martin and his team enough.

Mr Martin has provided me with all the information needed over the last three years I have been under his care. He first met me after I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and outlined all the options to me before asking me, not telling me, what I’d prefer. Opting for surgery I knew I was in safe hands and was amazed afterwards with the results. He visited me on the ward to tell me the biopsy results and explained what happened next. Now being diagnosed a second time he has called me when he said he would and has replied to e mails from me asking questions. All this from a man who is incredibly busy but manages to be personal as well making me feel I am the only patient under his care. Pritesh, Mr Martin’s secretary, is always friendly and responds to every message and e mail left and I know that with that team looking after me I could not be in better care
